Carden Academy of Santa Clara is home to students from the three year old program through the eighth grade, since 1973. Carden Academy of Almaden opened its doors the summer of 2011, beginning with a Kindergarten program. There will be a grade added each year. Our class sizes are small, giving our students the opportunity to learn and grow in an intimate environment under the guidance of dedicated and loving teachers.
At Carden Academy, we take pride in our exceptional academic program, our dedication to character development, and our focus on teaching the whole child, mind, body and spirit. Carden students know that we care. We spend time getting to know our students, helping them up when they fall, and challenging them to work to their potential.
The Carden curriculum and teaching method, having stood the test of time for over 50 years, are the foundation for our success. Imbued with the values of courtesy, generosity, and self-discipline, the Carden curriculum emphasizes the importance of building a mental image in all the disciplines, math, literature, spelling, art and science. We are always evolving in order to better prepare our students for the rapidly changing world of communication and globalization. We have incorporated the use of technology in our techniques and curriculum. At Carden Academy, we consistently add new after school activities to complement classroom learning.

Choosing the school that will shape your child's future is an exciting time for you. There are so many factors to consider, like safety, academic curriculum, and extra curricular activities. We at Carden Academy understand what you're feeling, so that is why we want to make it easy for you to see that Carden Academy is your best choice. Based upon Mae Carden’s philosophy of teaching and learning, we believe that the goal of teaching is not to regiment the student, but to nurture each personality and develop self-reliant students.
For children to enjoy coming to class every day, a positive relationship needs to be formed between the child and their teacher. Our faculty is trained in the Carden curriculum and teaching method, and we strongly believe in keeping the class sizes small to ensure that each child is getting the attention and guidance they deserve. Our students learn French and Music, and have the opportunity to participate in various sports and after-school activities, including our boy’s flag football team, our girl’s volleyball team, and our talented acting club.
