Homework Policy


Grade 1
Homework:
  • Homework is given on Tuesday and Thursday
  • Assignments may include: (language arts, math and / or science)
  • 15 to 20 minutes total
    Notes:
  • Book reports (between 4 and 9) throughout the year
  • Five or more animal reports that correspond with the Blue Book throughout the year
  • Occasional music or library homework
  • Science fair project (group project)
  • Grade 2
    Homework:
  • Tuesday and Thursday - classroom teachers
  • Monday and Wednesday - French homework
  • 1 or 2 subjects
  • 20 - 30 minutes total
    Notes:
  • Book reports - 2 per trimester (6 total) Craft book report one month and written book report the next month
  • Science Fair project (group project)
  • Grade 3
    Homework:
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 35 minutes to 50 minutes total
  • History, science, and social studies - assigned weekly
  • French Homework - may be given Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday
  • Friday Homework - correction only (to be returned on Monday)
  • Friday Folder must be returned every Monday
