The textbook is French Is Fun and students begin with leçon 1, which adds a lot of new vocabulary, reviews the concept of le, la, I’, and pronunciation. The grammar also includes plurals and indefinite articles. Students learn how to conjugate “er” verbs. They learn numbers in the 100’s to 1,000. Students do activities in their books and continue with a notebook. There is homework 3 nights a week. Conversation becomes more advanced. Emphasize: Listening comprehension Students do a project from each lesson. |
Art: Fourth graders will work with drawing the human figure in different forms, including realistic and cartoon. They begin
to study the proportions of the human body. Students will work in color and black and white. They learn, describe, and utilize
negative and positive space. Their new learned skills in observation will be exercised in landscape drawing as well. Scratchboard
will be introduced in this course.
